Description – Node.js Developer
Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Node.js Developer to join a dynamic, remote-first engineering team focused on building backend microservices for a high-visibility sports application. This is a hands-on development role where Node.js is central to the backend architecture and daily workflow.
Job at a glance:

  • 6-month contract (Possibility of extension)

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices using Node.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance APIs and backend services.
  • Work closely with product and frontend teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
  • Implement and optimize GraphQL/GraphAPI endpoints to support rich data interactions.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience in the United States (internships not counted).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js in a production backend environment.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining backend microservices.
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL, GraphAPI, or Graph Databases (highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with Java and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Solid grasp of DevOps principles and cloud-native development.
