Software Engineer 4

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Software Engineer 4.

Key Responsibilities:
Backend Development & Application Administration:
* Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend systems using Java/J2EE, including Spring, Hibernate, and related frameworks
* Administer and optimize application environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
* Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend applications and system integrations
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues across development and production environments
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes

Frontend Development:
* Lead the development of responsive and dynamic web applications using JavaScript, Vue.js, and Bootstrap
* Translate UI/UX designs into functional and visually appealing user interfaces
* Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization of frontend components
* Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs

Collaboration & Leadership:
* Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
* Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers
* Contribute to architectural decisions and technology evaluations

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong expertise in both backend and frontend development
* Extensive experience with Java/J2EE, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JSP/Servlets
* Proven experience in frontend development using JavaScript, Vue.js, and Bootstrap
* Experience with application administration, performance tuning, and monitoring tools
* Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and integration patterns
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
