Job Details

VetsEZ is seeking an Agile Coach to support our DevSecOps Portfolio on a Department of Veterans (VA) project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Scaled Agile (SAFe) and Agile transformations, with proven success coaching teams of varying Agile maturity. This role will lead SAFe training, mentor teams on Agile best practices, and drive portfolio-level agility to enhance software delivery.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and coach multiple high-performing Agile development teams.
  • Strengthen team understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and DevSecOps principles.
  • Train, mentor, and guide teams to continuously improve Agile practices across the organization.
  • Promote consistency in Agile practices and delivery standards throughout the enterprise.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with timelines and requirements.
  • Support leadership in cultivating and sustaining thriving Agile teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging teams to inspect, adapt, and evolve.
  • Guide teams through Agile adoption, providing constructive feedback and driving organizational growth.
  • Contribute to various projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Agile coaching, with a strong track record of success.
  • Proven experience as an external Agile Coach or Consultant at the Program and Portfolio levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage consulting engagements, align deliverables with statements of work, and effectively navigate client expectations.
  • Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of Agile engineering practices such as Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Extreme Programming (XP), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA is highly preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with VA engagements or federal healthcare transformation programs.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
