Worldwide Technology is looking for a NetApp Storage Administrator. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Title: NetApp Storage Administrator
Location: Downtown Omaha, NE (Onsite - May be once a week to a few times a month)
Duration/Type of Job: 6+ months CTH
Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $50 to $70 hourly (Rate range is on C2C basis). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Storage Administrator
Job Description:
We are looking for a versatile Storage Administrator to manage and optimize our NetApp and Hitachi storage environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in day-to-day administration and some higher-level engineering tasks, with a focus on automation using Ansible.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day administration of NetApp storage systems, including traditional file management.
- Assist in higher-level engineering tasks, such as total NetApp refresh and Proof of Concept (POC) projects like tiering into the cloud (if candidate experience is appropriate)
- Manage multi-site applications and ensure efficient data replication and failover processes.
- Utilize Ansible for automation tasks, including maintaining and improving existing scripts.
- Collaborate on the care and feeding of the database, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide support and training for Hitachi storage systems as needed.
Skills:
- Strong experience with NetApp storage technologies; Hitachi experience is a bonus but not required.
- Proficiency in automation tools, specifically Ansible.
- Ability to understand and improve existing automation scripts and processes.
- Experience with multi-site application management and data replication.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience ranging from junior to senior level in storage administration, depending on the candidate s expertise.
- Relevant certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) are preferred.
This role may require on-location work with WWT customers. Some customers may require WWT employees and contractors coming on-site to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or to receive frequent negative COVID-19 testing.
