RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a leader in the telecom industry, is seeking a Mobile Device Certification Specialist to support the integration of a new MVNO partner in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
This hands-on role focuses on log analysis and validation of iOS-based devices across cellular networks to ensure 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, VoNR, and other critical features are production-ready. You will work closely with network teams and device vendors to analyze device behavior, initiate certification processes, and ensure all mobile features perform flawlessly in a lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mobile Device Certification Specialist will initiate and manage the full device certification and provisioning process
* Validate iOS devices for 5G SA/NSA, VoLTE, VoWiFi, VoNR, and LTE
* Conduct deep log analysis using QXDM and other Qualcomm tools (e.g., QPST)
* Debug and report issues using 3GPP protocols and signaling flow knowledge (L1/L2/L3)
* Provision and validate SIM and eSIM profiles, including network connectivity and feature readiness
* Configure and test Wi-Fi and Passpoint (HS2.0, WPA3) functionality
* As a Mobile Device Certification Specialist, you will collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve device/network issues
* Support manual and basic automated testing efforts as needed
* Develop simple Python scripts for automation or log parsing
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience working with iOS mobile devices in a cellular network environment
* Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards and signaling (especially debugging flows)
* Hands-on experience with QXDM (critical) and other modem logging tools
* Deep familiarity with 5G (SA/NSA), VoNR, and Voice over Wi-Fi
* Proven ability to provision SIM/eSIM and verify feature functionality
* Comfortable working with Wi-Fi/Passpoint protocols and configuration
* Basic proficiency in Python scripting
* Excellent communication, documentation, and issue reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting MVNO integrations or multi-carrier environments
* Exposure to Android device testing or mobile certification processes
* Familiarity with tools like XCAL, XCAP, or other field test solutions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
