Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Analyst to join our team in New York, New York, supporting critical banking applications and projects. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing application functionality, ensuring seamless delivery across multiple project phases. Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in managing the software development lifecycle, including architectural design, security reviews, and infrastructure requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to build technical specifications based on business requirements and oversee systems integration testing.
Support financial forecasting activities, including variance analysis and fund transfers via delivery hub change requests.
Create, publish, and update detailed project plans, ensuring timely communication of project statuses to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate the preparation and review of essential documentation, including CapEx and OpEx forms, vendor checklists, and contract forms.
Facilitate approvals and reviews with business sponsors, finance teams, and procurement forums to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Initiate and manage Waterfall Gate reviews, preparing required artifacts and obtaining necessary sign-offs from sponsors and other domains.
Lead change management efforts for deployment activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
Provide post-production technical support to maintain application stability and resolve emerging issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support or related roles within the banking industry.
Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
Proficiency in managing forecasting activities and financial processes, including OpEx and CapEx documentation.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timely updates and communication.
Experience with change management processes and deployment activities.
Familiarity with application security remediation and infrastructure requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
