Job Title: Informatica Developer (PowerCenter to IDMC Migration)
Duration: 5 Months
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform migration activities from Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 to the Informatica IDMC cloud solution.
- Backup and validate existing Informatica repositories and ensure data integrity during migration.
- Set up and configure test environments using production server images.
- Create, test, and validate Informatica mappings, workflows, and metadata on the cloud platform.
- Conduct cleanup and verification on the IDMC server post-migration.
- Incorporate production sequence IDs into the test repository.
- Optimize ETL processes and perform performance tuning as required.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to the City's Informatica administrators and developers.
- Adhere to best practices for ETL development, testing, scheduling, and monitoring.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (8.1.1 or higher).
- Proven experience in Informatica migration and upgrade projects.
- Expertise in ETL design and development, including mappings, workflows, and transformations.
- Experience with Informatica installation and environment setup across multiple versions.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Ability to analyze system requirements and specify hardware needs for Informatica environments.
- Knowledge of ETL best practices and performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct technical training sessions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on Informatica PowerCenter version 8.1.1 specifically.
- Informatica Certified Professional credential.
- Prior experience with performance tuning and repository management.
