Job Title: Rotating Equipment / Mechanical Reliability Specialist
Location: East Chicago, IN
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/year + Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time | Travel: 15-20%

Overview:
Hiring a Rotating Equipment / Mechanical Reliability Specialist responsible for maintaining and improving mechanical system reliability at a single facility. The role includes hands-on maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and equipment performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating and mechanical equipment
- Lead overhauls and inspections of compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and piping systems
- Provide onsite technical support for mechanical systems
- Assist with turnaround planning, cost estimates, and equipment troubleshooting
- Ensure safe and efficient operations with thorough documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with industrial rotating/mechanical equipment
- Background as a journeyman, millwright, machinist, or field service technician
- Skilled in precision alignment and use of diagnostic/measuring tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to work independently in field conditions
Preferred:
- Machinist or millwright apprenticeship, or Associate's in Mechanical Technology
- Experience with vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and CMMS
