Position Overview
As a Salesforce Field Service Engineer you will design, build, and maintain customized solutions within the Salesforce Field Service platform (formerly Field Service Lightning) to support operational excellence and enhance service delivery. This role requires hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Components, and Salesforce configuration, as well as a strong understanding of Field Service business processes.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, architects, developers, and system administrators to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient Salesforce Field Service solutions. You will be expected to take initiative, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of both the platform and its utilization across the organization.

You will be expected to take initiative, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of both the platform and its utilization across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Customize and configure Salesforce Field Service applications to meet business requirements, including service appointments, work orders, scheduling, and mobile workforce management.
- Develop and maintain Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and custom objects specific to Field Service.
- Create and manage integrations between Field Service and other Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service) and third-party systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues within the Field Service application stack.
- Maintain and enhance existing Field Service configurations across multiple Salesforce environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation for customizations, data flows, and integration points.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and provide expert input on Salesforce Field Service capabilities.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support testing, deployment, and release management.
- Stay informed of Salesforce Field Service enhancements and roadmap features; recommend adoption strategies.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and demos as an active member of the development team.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience customizing Salesforce Field Service.
- Deep understanding of core Field Service modules: work orders, service appointments, dispatcher console, and mobile configurations
- Proficient in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow Builder, and process automation tools.
- Familiar with integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, REST APIs, middleware platforms).
- Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, and Field Service Lightning preferred.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and sandbox management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
