Field Support Technician (Roaming - Northeast DC / South Baltimore Region)
We're seeking a dependable and self-motivated Field Support Technician to provide on-site technical support across multiple locations in the Northeast DC and South Baltimore areas. This is a roaming role that requires flexibility, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently without daily supervision.

We're seeking a dependable and self-motivated Field Support Technician to provide on-site technical support across multiple locations in the Northeast DC and South Baltimore areas. This is a roaming role that requires flexibility, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently without daily supervision.
Location & Travel
- Ideal home base: Silver Spring, MD
- Regular travel across: Silver Spring, Lanham, Mitchellville, Laurel, and South Baltimore
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle
- Mileage reimbursed for site-to-site travel
- Technicians must be punctual and dependable; attendance is monitored via badge access
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- On-call rotation: 1 week at a time
- Occasional extended evenings until approximately 8:00 PM, depending on business needs
- Start times may shift based on daily requirements
- Flexibility is essential, as assignments may change to meet demand
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve software break/fix incidents
- Perform IMACs (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes), including software installations and machine upgrades
- Support device refresh activities
- Provide hands-on support for a wide range of peripherals:
- Document and ID scanners
- Barcode scanners
- Credit card readers
- Label printers
- Signature pads
- Dragon dictation microphones
- RFID readers
- Assist users at tech walk-up bars in staffed locations
- Utilize ServiceNow for ticketing (preferred but not required)
- Use LogMeIn for remote support when applicable
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory
- Strong deskside support
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in a hospital or clinical environment is a plus
