Description
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Planning and Strategy to lead IT initiatives and drive strategic alignment between business and technology. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this role will focus on developing programs, managing IT project portfolios, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in IT leadership, strategic planning, and team development within complex environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategic planning process that aligns with both business goals and technology strategies.
Oversee the creation and management of a multi-year IT business plan, including financial planning and resource allocation.
Lead the IT project portfolio, ensuring projects are prioritized based on company objectives and resource availability.
Collaborate with business leaders to develop budgeting, cost estimation, and resource allocation strategies for projects and programs.
Establish and enforce project management methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
Monitor and report on the delivery of business objectives, client satisfaction, and project outcomes to key stakeholders.
Drive communication strategies to align business stakeholders with the IT strategic vision and ensure transparency across the enterprise.
Manage cross-functional teams to assess organizational readiness for change and adoption of new solutions post-deployment.
Define and enforce standards for project management methodologies, including those from external service providers.
Optimize resource capacity planning across the IT organization to support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related technical field.
Extensive experience utilizing project management tools and methodologies.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective IT strategies and processes.
Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance in complex environments.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
Familiarity with technologies such as Cisco, cloud solutions, CRM, ERP systems, and backup technologies.
Solid understanding of IT hardware, software deployments, and contract management.
