Job Details

Role Overview

This is a Senior Maximo Integration Developer role. The person will be responsible for building and maintaining integrations between IBM Maximo (an enterprise asset management system) and other business systems (like ERP, GIS, HR, Finance).

The job is remote with occasional travel (15%) to New Orleans, Louisiana (NOLA).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Integration Development Connect Maximo with external systems using tools like:

    • Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)

    • REST/SOAP APIs

    • JMS/MQ, middleware

  2. Customization of Maximo Modify and enhance Maximo applications:

    • Java, Automation Scripts, Application Designer

    • BIRT report development

    • Configuring workflows, escalations, domains

  3. Support & Maintenance Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure integrations/customizations keep working after upgrades/migrations.

  4. Collaboration Work with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions.

  5. Best Practices & Mentorship Build reusable components, follow coding standards, and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience with IBM Maximo EAM development & integration.

  • Strong in Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) object structures, channels, endpoints.

  • Programming skills: Java, J2EE, SQL, XML, XSLT, Automation Scripts (Jython/Python/JavaScript).

  • APIs & Middleware: REST/SOAP, JSON, MQ, WebSphere, ESB.

  • Experience with custom Maximo applications screen modifications, workflows, business logic, reports (BIRT/Cognos).

  • Knowledge of Maximo database schema & performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps (Git, Jenkins, CI/CD).

  • Strong communication & problem-solving skills.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience with latest versions: Maximo 7.6.x and MAS 8/9.

  • Background in Energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation.

  • Knowledge of Cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).

  • Integration experience with SAP, Oracle EBS, ESRI GIS, Salesforce.

Other Details

  • Duration: 6 months

  • Location: Remote + 15% travel to The Woodlands TEXAS

  • Visa: Any (except OPT/CPT)

  • Experience Required: 12+ years total IT, with 8+ in Maximo

  • Rate: $72/hr (W2) | $80/hr (C2C/1099)

  • Client: Entergy (Energy/Utilities company)
