Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking for a GIS QA/QC LEAD

Pay Rate: $30/hour to $35/hour
Type: contract 12+ months
Location: Can sit in Tulsa, OK OR Columbus, OH
Fully onsite for the first 6 months and hybrid flex after wards
Each QA/QC Lead will be responsible for assessing the quality of the work of 6-10 GIS Resources on the team.
o This involves meticulously reviewing and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the research conducted by the GIS Analysts.
o The QA/QC Lead will provide constructive feedback and guidance to maintain high standards and consistency of velocity.
Update workflow and policy from peer-review and company recommendations.
o The Resource will be tasked with revising and improving existing workflows.
o This ensures that the process remain efficient and aligned with best practices and company expectations.
Help track productivity/quality scores of research/editor teams.
o The QA/QC Lead will monitor and evaluate the performance metrics of the GIS Analysts
o This includes tracking productivity levels and work closures worked to identify areas of improvement and ensure that the teams are meeting their targets.
Serve as a researcher and provide hands-on contribution, when needed.
o In addition to their QA/QC responsibilities, the lead will also contribute directly to the backlog work as required. This is hands-on involvement also helps support the team to ensure timelines and Project goals are met.
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred Education requirements are listed below: Bachelors degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Civil Engineering, Drafting or related field OR associate degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Civil Engineering, Drafting or related field OR High School/equivalency.
Work Experience requirement listed below:
Bachelors or associate degree in GIS - 5-year related experience, non-GIS bachelor's or associate degree - 5-year related experience or High School, 7 years related GIS experience. Experience assessing quality of GIS work and leading teams preferred.
