Job Title: Accessibility Specialist

Location: Golden, Colorado

Interview: Either Web Cam or In Person

Duration: Long Term

Required Skills::

Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe as well as the ability to quickly learn and apply other software skills.

Software: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office.

Using assistive technologies, such as screen readers (such as JAWS, Narrator, or NVDA), to manually ensure that document experiences are equitable and functional.

Using Adobe Acrobat, Common Look, and similar tools to remediate PDF documents in order to ensure compliance with accessibility standards; ensure that complex documents meet or exceed all applicable standards.

Support and fulfil accessibility accommodation requests from external stakeholders.

Track and report on progress and activities related to document remediation.

Job Description::

The Specialist will use a variety of manual and automated techniques to ensure that documents comply, at a minimum, with all applicable accessibility criteria.

Brings proven, specialized experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience.

Expertise could include various technologies and roles, including SME in product and software or functional areas.

Knowledge of accessibility standards such as Section 508, WCAG, PDF/UA.
