Location: Remote - EST Time Zone (Work Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade data pipelines and solutions.
  • Drive production support in a Managed Services environment, including root cause analysis (RCA), issue debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Support ongoing operations and proactively implement enhancements in existing data warehouse and reporting environments.
  • Architect and optimize ETL workflows using SSIS and SQL Server for high-volume and mission-critical data processing.
  • Build and manage scalable Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable business insights.
  • Apply strong Data Warehouse (DW) design principles including data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, support-friendly data solutions.
  • Integrate modern Azure data services (preferably Azure Fabric) to modernize and enhance data engineering capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, RCA documentation, and quality standards across all systems.
  • Mentor team members, conduct technical reviews, and ensure best practices are followed across managed service operations and development.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, ETL, and Data Warehousing with strong ownership mindset.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, SSIS, Power BI, and core Data Warehouse concepts.
  • Proven experience in Managed Services support, including RCA, production incident handling, and debugging complex data workflows.
  • Deep understanding of dimensional modeling, ETL frameworks, and data lifecycle management.
  • Solid experience in performance tuning for SQL Server and large datasets.
  • Exposure to Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Azure Fabric is a plus).
  • Ability to lead teams, manage support queues, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders for RCA and resolution.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing coordination skills.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience integrating Azure Fabric into existing data architectures.
  • Familiarity with DataOps / DevOps for Data Engineering (CI/CD, automation, version control).
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks, RCA documentation standards, and compliance processes.

 

 

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
