A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Application Architect Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Location: West Mifflin, PA 15122 Hybrid Role Overview This position offers a unique opportunity to start hands-on immersing yourself in our business processes, architecture, and development workflows before evolving into a strategic partner driving impactful solutions. As you grow in this role, youll collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues, define project scopes, estimate efforts, craft technical specifications, and guide execution alongside our offshore development teams. Your contributions will be essential in supporting major capital investment initiatives and ensuring operational excellence. What Youll Do
- Champion System Support: Monitor, prioritize, and resolve user requests and system alerts with precision.
- Quality Assurance: Design and execute test plans to guarantee customer requirements are met.
- Project Tracking: Keep stakeholders informed by tracking and reporting work item statuses.
- Deliver Excellence: Write and deliver code that meets functionality and performance standards.
- Customer Collaboration: Engage professionally with customers to gather requirements, share insights, and provide reporting.
- Education: Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience: 510 years in systems or IT, with strong expertise in application development, testing, and defect resolution.
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB/DC, JCL, and TSO/ISPF within an IBM MVS mainframe environment.
- Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT application and delivery processes.
- Background in metals or manufacturing/industrial applications.
- Experience with scheduling and inventory systems.
- Proven success collaborating with offshore development teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Self-driven, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
