Description
We are looking for a skilled Database Technology Manager to lead and oversee data management and analytics initiatives. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership to drive innovation and ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization. Based in New York, New York, you will play a critical role in managing advanced database technologies and fostering collaboration between technical and business teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of advanced database solutions to meet organizational goals.
Manage and optimize data analytics tools, including Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server, to ensure seamless operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights through data visualization.
Provide mentorship and training to team members on data analytics tools and methodologies.
Develop and maintain data governance standards to ensure data security and compliance.
Oversee the creation of compelling visual narratives to communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders.
Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for process improvements and new data solutions.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in database technologies and data science to apply best practices.
Support the design and maintenance of data pipelines and engineering systems.
Collaborate on Agile-based projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of data-related initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 6 years of experience in progressively senior analytical roles.
Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to train others.
Broad expertise in various analytical domains such as revenue management, forecasting, and segmentation.
Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to create impactful data visualizations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguous situations.
Proven track record of driving innovation in data management.
Familiarity with Python and data science methodologies is a plus.
