Description

We are looking for a skilled Hardware Analyst to play a key role in deploying and configuring new Point of Sale systems for retail and business environments. This contract position is ideal for professionals with a background in hardware setup, imaging, and network configuration. Join us in Syracuse, New York, to ensure seamless installations and provide technical expertise throughout the deployment process.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, configure, and install Point of Sale software.

Execute Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) booting and network-based operating system deployments using established procedures.

Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of hardware components and network connectivity prior to deployment.

Perform system imaging and run diagnostics to verify device functionality.

Label, document, and maintain an accurate inventory of installed systems and components.

Ensure all hardware installations comply with company policies and security protocols.

Collaborate with IT support teams to address and resolve configuration or setup issues.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in hardware setup, imaging, and network configuration.
Proficiency in Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) booting and desktop imaging processes.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware and Dell technologies.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and their integration with hardware systems.
Ability to perform diagnostics and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and documentation.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders.
