Our Technical Solutions team is on the lookout for an exceptional Senior Project Manager to spearhead a transformative payroll project for our prestigious global Media & Entertainment client. If you have a proven track record in managing projects within a financial software environment, this is your chance to make a significant impact. In this role, you will lead the payroll transformation project in partnership with other workstream leaders leading parallel projects, ensuring they align seamlessly with our client's business objectives. Your ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering resources will be crucial. Leveraging your expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies, you will drive the project to success, ensuring all deliverables meet stringent business requirements and undergo thorough testing.

You will oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to guarantee specifications are met, maintain meticulous project schedules, and ensure timely delivery. Your adaptability to the dynamic nature of transformation projects, coupled with your ability to iterate and pivot as needed, will be key to overcoming challenges and delivering quality solutions. Your proactive approach to removing roadblocks will empower your team to achieve their best work. Additionally, you will draft comprehensive project plans, manage risks effectively, and communicate with executives to keep all parts moving forward.

Your strong background in financial software project management and exceptional communication skills will enable you to engage stakeholders and drive positive outcomes. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in royalties, entertainment payroll, participations, residuals, or similar financial payment systems. Responsibilities



  • Lead project workstreams within a large financial payroll transformation project.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, identifying key milestones, tasks, and resources.

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their system problems and opportunities in the context of requirements.

  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure deliverables and solutions meet business requirements on time.

  • Manage the full project lifecycle with design, build, deployment and signoff of assigned projects, ensuring requirements are met, design reviews are held, documentation is maintained.

  • Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate as appropriate.

  • Communicate project status, progress, and issues to executive stakeholders clearly and timely.

  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within scope.

  • Promote and enforce Agile Scrum methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Work with Technology teams and management to identify solutions that achieve project goals.

  • Provide direction to internal and external resources, monitor development efforts, assemble key project deliverables, report project status, and raise awareness on issues requiring escalation.

  • Pivot and direct resource teams to align with backlog priorities and program increment (PI) goals are achieved.


Qualifications/Requirements



  • 5 years of Finance related software project management experience.

  • Experience with Media & Entertainment financial payroll, royalties, participations, residuals or similar software payments projects experience (preferred).

  • Practical experience managing technology projects within Media & Entertainment environments (preferred).

  • Strong project management skills and ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholder groups.

  • Work experience with enterprise project management with an understanding of project management tools, processes, risk mitigation, communications and strategic planning.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage project risks and issues.

  • Deep understanding of Project Management Methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall

  • Experience in executive communication and ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience developing project schedules, managing team resources, creating work breakdown structures, estimating size and effort for new development projects, as well as develop detailed requirements for these projects.

  • Experience with project management software (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday, etc.) and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) skills

  • An understanding of program management with the ability to see high level project alignment with larger goals and outcomes

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent presentation and facilitation skills

  • Ability to prioritize effectively, think independently and problem solve to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required (or related experience); major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • Project management certification or Certified Scrum Master or equivalent Agile project management certification nice to have


Additional Details


The base range for this contract position is $55.00 - $70.00 /per hour depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
