**** Please review information listed under additional skills prior to presenting any candidates for this role**** The Project Specialist will help build virtualized platforms, expand infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Will be responsible for prioritizing mission critical tasks and coordinating, constructing and expanding of our systems to including managing updates, troubleshooting outages and performing maintenance tasks. Main focus will be on engineering virtualized platforms for application testing, PoC environments and expanding of operational system architectures. Must work closely with infrastructure, database and other internal and external teams to support the overall system architecture of an application. Responsibilities: Project Manage a wide range of security related applications implementations and integrations. Plan, Build and Deploy complex virtual and/or hybrid cloud solution on a verity of platforms to Linux and windows. Maintain and support client and internal systems, servers and network arability Specifically on Windows Server and applications support and Linux server and applications support Work with the teams to connect and administer multi-datacenter distributed components of based cloud architecture; including blade servers, switching, routing and enterprise software-defined storage Experience in the definition and development of Capability Requirement Documents, Capability Production Documents, System Engineering Plans, System Requirements Documents, System Design Documents, Interface Design Documents and Specifications. Support other Project Managers on projects standards for monitoring, supporting and maintaining deployed infrastructure Troubleshooting complex issues around connectivity and performance in virtual infrastructure at the virtual, compute and storage level, failovers and database connections Participate in monitoring and maintenance of business applications and production environment and respond to exceptions by initiating the correct actions to meet the highest availability targets. Document processes and procedures to support projects and system architectural designs Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering strongly preferred (or 10+ years directly related on-the-job experience) Experience working in a Cloud and Datacenter environment specifically with AWS IaaS, PaaS, S3 and other AWS tools. VMware IT Infrastructure experience. VMware Certification Required (or equivalent industry certification) Windows and Linux server Engineering and Administration experience. MCSE in Windows Server 2012 or higher Required. Industry Linux certification Preferred. Familiar with Linux operating systems and applications -- primarily CentOS, ubuntu and similar operating systems and applications such as Apache, MySQL, PHP, Bind and other open-source software packages Excellent understanding of virtual infrastructure architecture. Experience with ESXi, vSphere systems admin and support -- including vMotion, HA, DRS, Clustering, storage and networking Additional Certifications or experience with any of the following preferred: VMware (vCloud, vSphere, NSX, vROps), HPE Servers, HPE Storage, Container Architecture, Basic proficiency in LAN and WAN technologies - firewalls, switches, routers, fiber circuits, patching, connectivity, VPN's, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, etc Must be detail oriented with strong, demonstrable communication and social intelligence attributes -- on the phone, via email and face-to-face Ability to work well as part of a team and interact well with individuals at all levels of the organization Self-motivated, driven and thorough problem solver. Ability to prioritize conflicting demands to prioritize, address, and resolve support issues Preferred Other Technologies: OpenVZ, SAN Storage, HP Blade and Rack servers, Backup systems, Monitoring systems, HP and Cisco networking. Preferred Other Services: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Object Storage, Backup and DRaaS, Public Cloud deployment and management

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
