Title: Ericsson MME Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration/Type of Job: 6 Months

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Ericsson MME Engineer to support a major network transformation initiative at an Enterprise Level Client. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with physical Ericsson MME platforms, configuration management, ATPs, and is comfortable working in a transitional project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current state and health of existing physical Ericsson MME nodes
  • Perform clean-up and optimization of physical MMEs, including hardware audits, software version validation, and configuration standardization.
  • Manual de-bugging and configuration scrubbing.
  • Support and execute ATP testing to validate that physical MME nodes requirements.
  • Manage and resolve issues (tickets, alarms, hardware faults) on the physical MMEs.
  • Collaborate closely with Ericsson support, internal transport, IP, and platform teams for cross-functional readiness and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain clear documentation of all remediation, and testing completed on each node.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working with Ericsson MME platforms, especially physical nodes.
  • Strong understanding of LTE/EPC architecture, with emphasis on MME signaling and interfaces (S1, S11, S6a, etc.).
  • Experience conducting ATPs, verifying node health, and coordinating readiness activities for large-scale migrations.
