Job Description
The client seeks a consultant to accelerate the expansion of internal development platform capabilities through automation, DevOps best practices, and AI-driven innovation. This role will focus on implementing scalable internal processes that evolve into productized offerings for developer self-service and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities Automation & Platform Engineering

  • Design and implement reusable automation patterns across CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and environment management.
  • Build pipelines that standardize application builds, image management, Terraform module publishing, and environment promotion.
  • Extend the client's existing Jenkins based pipelines with event-driven automation and intelligent build orchestration.

AI-Enhanced Developer Experience

  • Research, prototype, and integrate AI assistants and agents into our delivery pipelines (e.g., AI-seeded documentation, PR reviewers, test generators).
  • Establish frameworks for prompt management, context injection, and governance of AI-assisted workflows.

Process & Productization

  • Translate internal CPE processes into standardized, documented, and automatable patterns for broader adoption within the organization.
  • Support Docs as Code initiatives, including automated documentation pipelines, linting, and publication workflows.
  • Contribute to the design of developer-facing templates, guardrails, and onboarding experiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to ensure platform automation aligns with security and compliance guardrails.
  • Partner with CPE engineers to codify and publish internal best practices via reusable Terraform modules, templates, and Jenkins pipelines.

Minimum Requirements / Education

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Automation.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS, including services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and networking components.
  • Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code design patterns.
  • Extensive experience in CI/CD pipeline development, preferably using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Practical experience with scripting or general-purpose languages (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
  • Proven ability to build automation frameworks and reusable patterns that scale across teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in documenting and operationalizing internal processes.
