Director of Cloud Infrastructure
Reports To: Chief Delivery Officer
Location: Remote/Austin, TX
Travel: 25 50%
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Cloud Infrastructure to lead our global Cloud, Security, and IT operations. This individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance environments across development, testing, and production systems serving both internal teams and external clients.
As a strategic leader, you will be accountable for driving operational excellence, maximizing system uptime, ensuring regulatory compliance, and continuously optimizing costs and performance. Your leadership will directly influence enterprise value through increased cloud team productivity, enhanced reliability of production systems, and improved customer profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Secure & Compliant Infrastructure: Advance the security and regulatory posture of cloud and IT environments through proactive risk management, governance frameworks, and best practices.
Reliability & Uptime: Ensure the consistent availability and resilience of cloud platforms, implementing effective monitoring, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
Operational Metrics: Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across Cloud and IT teams.
Scalable Processes: Build and refine IT operations that scale with business growth focusing on automation, documentation, and lean change management.
Vendor Management: Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and strategic partnership development to ensure alignment with technical and business objectives.

Performance Monitoring: Skilled in cloud system observability tools and techniques; ensures rapid response to incidents and anomalies.
Strategic Risk Assessment: Evaluates technical, operational, and security risks; implements controls that protect enterprise interests.
Disciplined Leadership: Prioritizes effectively, plans proactively, and fosters a culture of reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required; Master s degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in cloud infrastructure, operations, or DevOps roles.
Proven track record managing hybrid or fully cloud-native architectures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning infrastructure strategies with business outcomes.
