Sr. Alteryx Administrator

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Alteryx Atlas, license management, server upgrades, SSL patching, API licensing, and WAM (Windows Authentication Module).
This role is critical to maintaining a secure, scalable, and high-performing analytics infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Platform Administration
• Administer Alteryx Server, Designer, and Atlas environments across multiple tiers (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Perform server upgrades, hotfix deployments, and SSL certificate patching.
• Monitor server health, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.
Alteryx Atlas & Advanced Features
• Manage and configure Alteryx Atlas for metadata tracking, lineage, and governance.
• Integrate Atlas with enterprise data catalog and governance tools.
• Support data stewardship and compliance initiatives using Atlas capabilities.
License & API Management
• Oversee license provisioning, including API licenses and offline activations.
• Track license usage and compliance via the Alteryx License Portal.
• Coordinate with vendors for license renewals and expansions.
Security & Authentication
• Implement and maintain WAM (Windows Authentication Module) for secure user access.
• Manage SSL certificates, password policies, and authentication protocols.
• Ensure platform security aligns with enterprise IT standards.
Workflow & Gallery Operations
• Manage Alteryx Gallery: user roles, permissions, workflow scheduling, and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot workflow execution issues and optimize performance.
• Support users in deploying advanced analytics and spatial workflows.
Documentation & Support
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for upgrades, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Provide support and training to users and stakeholders.
• Generate reports on server usage, license consumption, and performance metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8-9 years of experience in Alteryx administration, including Atlas and advanced server features.
• Strong expertise in Alteryx Server, Designer, Atlas, MongoDB, and spatial analytics.
• Experience with SSL patching, API license management, and WAM configuration.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration tools (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint, Databricks, Oracle).
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Alteryx certifications (Designer, Administrator) are highly preferred.
