Job Details

Position Title: HR Systems Analyst-UKG

Location: Remote (Preference for EST working hours)
Duration: 6 months

Position Summary

The UKG Systems Analyst will play a key role within the HRIS team, responsible for the support, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the UKG Pro platform. This role is ideal for an individual who combines strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of Core HR, Payroll, and Timekeeping (UTM) processes. The analyst will act as the first line of support for UKG users, assist in reporting, perform basic system configurations, and participate in testing and upgrade activities.

Top Skills & Technology Experience

  • Essential: Prior Cognos reporting experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with UKG Pro (UltiPro) system.
  • Nice to Have: Exposure to ServiceNow or other HR ticketing systems.

Key Responsibilities

System Support & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as the first point of contact for UKG-related inquiries (login, navigation, timekeeping, or payroll entry).
  • Track, document, and resolve support tickets; escalate complex issues to senior HRIS analysts or vendor support.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and ensure data accuracy across HR and Payroll modules.

Configuration & Maintenance

  • Perform user maintenance tasks such as updating profiles, managing security roles, and maintaining organization structure.
  • Assist in system configuration and testing for updates such as new pay codes, accrual rules, or workflow approvals.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Create and distribute standard reports through Cognos and UKG reporting tools.
  • Support data imports, exports, and mass updates while adhering to data governance and confidentiality protocols.

Documentation & Training

  • Maintain detailed system documentation and user support guides.
  • Help develop and deliver end-user training materials and system enhancement overviews.

Projects & System Enhancements

  • Participate in system testing, validation, and documentation during upgrades or new module rollouts.
  • Support assigned project deliverables and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting UKG Pro or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Proficiency with Cognos for report creation and data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Motivated to expand knowledge and develop deep technical expertise in HR systems.
