Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer (Lead or Senior)

The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer in Berkeley, MO to support the Air Dominance Flight Test Instrumentation Engineering Capability team.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Flight test Engineering Capability Leader and develop strategy for the organization to support significant growth projected in our flight test instrumentation teams. This includes further developing and instructing our instrumentation engineering training programs, updating processes, documenting, best practices, and modernizing tools. Responsibilities may also include program planning, integration support with other Integrated Product Teams, and resolution of issues. At times this position may directly support the execution of test programs.
This position is primarily for 1st shift; however, various shifts, nights, weekends and alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Lead and Senior Level Flight Test Instrumentation Engineers.

- Update and/or develop new Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer training program and curriculum
- Engage with instrumentation capability management and teammates across the enterprise
- Instructor and mentor for instrumentation engineers
- Update and/or develop new instrumentation processes and best practices as required
- Flight test program instrumentation planning and execution support
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Level 4
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 8+ years of experience with planning, operation and troubleshooting of instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- 8+ years of experience with instrumentation and/or data acquisition systems
- 8+ years of experience with precision test and measurement devices
- Experience supporting a military flight test program
- Experience leading and training an instrumentation team
- Capable of traveling as required, up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Level 5: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
