Project Manager - PEMS Plus Credentialing
Location: Austin, TX (must reside in Texas)
Term: 4+ months (possible extension)
Certification: PMP required (list on resume; proof may be requested)

As Project Manager for the PEMS Plus Credentialing initiative, you ll help streamline the provider enrollment and credentialing process for Texas Medicaid, making it faster and easier for providers to serve Texans.
What You ll Tackle

Lead the Charge: Oversee integration of the credentialing application into the PEMS system from kickoff through go-live.

Plan & Execute: Build and manage project plans, track milestones, and keep leadership in the loop with crisp status updates.

Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Provider Services leadership, PEMS sprint teams, and multiple vendors to manage dependencies and testing plans.

Keep It Moving: Identify and resolve roadblocks early, balancing scope, budget, and timeline without losing your cool.
What You Bring

PMP Certification (must-have).

7+ years leading large-scale IT projects (system integration, vendor management, procurement transitions).

Strong knowledge of Medicaid Enterprise Systems (e.g., MMIS) and Medicaid business operations.

Proven ability to facilitate discussions and keep diverse stakeholders aligned.

Expert with Microsoft Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
The Work Setup

On-site in Austin with limited remote work allowed under client telework policies.

Must be a Texas resident and able to travel to the Austin office as needed.
