Internationalization at Pinterest is not just responsible for translation, but for cultural adaptation of everything related to the experience with Pinterest product, websites and marketing assets to provide Pinners and partners with an experience that feels local. We are currently looking for a Program Manager experienced in localization to help Pinterest achieve our full potential in international markets. You will work closely with various stakeholders: marketing and PR teams, vendors, engineers, producers and designers to shape the experience of millions of Pinners around the globe.

As an Internationalization Program Manager, you will support localization and adaptation of Pinterest online content. You'll function as a business partner with internal stakeholders by defining localization processes for your projects and managing operations with external agencies and vendors. You can comfortably and autonomously work in a fast-paced environment, engage in cross-functional or corporate initiatives to represent international and influence the stakeholders for continuous process improvement.

What you'll do:
  • Lead and execute end-to-end localization program management tasks, including defining processes, managing operations with internal and external stakeholders, and overseeing the localization workflow from request creation to content deployment.
  • Research and align with internal and external teams to develop localization strategy, plans and schedules.
  • Communicate roadmaps, progress, risks and change control to internal cross-functional teams.
  • Represent the Internationalization team and advocate for international users while engaging with cross-functional teams.
  • Educate and guide Pinterest stakeholders on internationalization and localization best practices.
  • Design and implement scalable localization frameworks to ensure continuous process improvement.

What we're looking for:
  • 3+ years of experience in localization program or project management.
  • Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools, including experience working with TMS integrations.
  • Knowledge of best practices for localization of online content.
  • Experience working with marketing teams and marketing content.
  • Experience working as part of a large, cross-functional team.
  • Outstanding time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns across projects and workflows.
  • Ability to anticipate project challenges and develop solutions.
  • Knowledge of a second (or third!) language.
  • Preferred: Experience working with CMSs (content management systems).
  • Preferred: Experience managing LQA and testing.
  • Preferred: Experience with localization of visual assets.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Jira, Asana.
  • Preferred: Experience working with LLMs (machine translation and/or GenAI).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as translation or localization, or equivalent experience.
