Job Details

We are seeking a SQL Data Integration Specialist to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team. This critical role ensures seamless, accurate data flow between systems by managing and optimizing our data integration processes. You ll serve as a frontline support resource for data pipelines while also contributing to project coordination and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Monitoring & Tier 1 Support

  • Monitor data pipelines and ingestion processes daily using alerts, logs, and SLO checks

  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues using SQL and Python

  • Escalate complex problems with clear documentation and steps to senior engineers

New Data Stream Onboarding & Metadata Management

  • Coordinate onboarding of new data sources, including validating file formats, schema requirements, and delivery methods

  • Maintain and update the Edison metadata repository with pipeline registrations, mappings, and data dictionary entries

  • Ensure documentation and version control for all integrations

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements

  • Coordinate deployment schedules and change requests with Change Management

  • Track project status and team workload across small workstreams

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation

  • Ensure new integrations are fully documented within the Edison system

Support Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements

  • Assist with query optimization, testing tools, and proof-of-concepts in collaboration with senior team members


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field

  • 4+ years of professional experience, including:

    • 3+ years in SQL and ETL development

    • 2+ years working with Python for scripting and data handling

  • Strong ability to write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries involving joins, aggregations, and filters

  • Comfortable debugging and modifying Python code

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to collaborate with both technical and business teams

  • Agile and adaptable in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large language models (LLMs)

  • Project management experience or certification (PMP, Agile, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Monday.com, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms

  • Exposure to cloud-based data warehousing environments


Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role based in Milwaukee, WI, requiring 2- 3 days per week in the office.
