Job Title: Azure Architect
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Position Overview:
A leading organization is seeking a highly experienced Azure Architect for a 6-month remote contract. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions within Microsoft Azure and Office 365 environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, identity and access management, and enterprise governance, with the ability to align technical strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy advanced Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD Premium features with a focus on security, compliance, and governance
Lead architectural discussions and decision-making on scalability, performance, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
Configure and manage Azure and/or AWS cloud environments to meet performance, security, and cost-efficiency goals
Troubleshoot complex deployment and configuration issues across development, test, and production environments
Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to implement best practices around identity, access control, and cloud compliance
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Required Skills and Experience:
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Office 365
In-depth expertise in Azure AD Premium, including conditional access, identity protection, and governance
Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS configuration and management
Solid understanding of cloud security, data protection, and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or similar
Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving cloud deployment and integration issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments
Experience working with hybrid cloud architectures and cloud migration strategies
