Indotronix is seeking a Lead Kafka Developer in Pittsburgh(PA) and multiple client tech hub locations

Position: Lead Kafka Developer

Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA / Cleveland, OH / Columbus, OH

Ability to work remotely: Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days remote

Acceptable time zone(s): Working Hours (Flexible): 8:00a 5:00p (EST)

Days of the week: Monday Friday

Working Hours (Flexible): 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (EST)

Duration: 12 Months

Roles and Responsibilities:

Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.

Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

Inform customers or other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance.

Direct software programming and development of documentation.

Must Have Technical Skills:

1. Kafka & event-driven systems - Proficient in Kafka producer and consumer API, Kafka Streams, Schema registry, topic partitioning, and performance tuning - MUST have

2. API & Microservices Development - Expertise in Rest APIs and event-driven microservices using Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar frameworks - Must Have

3. Experience with Jenkins, Git, Ansible, log monitoring, and Kafka security

Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

1. Unix and Scripting - Strong command of Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and performance monitoring - desirable

2. SQL and Data management - Experience with SQL and optimization in Oracle - desirable

Soft Skills:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

2. Leadership

3. Conflict Resolution

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree required (Computer Science Degree preferred)

Interview Process:

1st interview: 60 min (Hiring Manager)

2nd interview: 60 min (Hiring Manager + team members)

(Possibility of a 3rd interview)
