Description

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to guide the technical evolution of a cutting-edge Verticalized Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform. This pivotal role encompasses advancing AI applications tailored to specific industries, emphasizing trust, scalability, and market impact. If you are a seasoned founder, technical innovator, and someone who thrives in the "zero-to-one" phase of product development, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Act as a "player-coach," leading by example with hands-on coding and effective mentorship to build and scale a high-performing engineering team.
  • Technical Execution: Own the design, development, and scalability of the product stack, ensuring clean, efficient, and reliable software architecture. Stack includes Python and React, among others.
  • AI/ML Expertise: Deliver expertise in machine learning and deep learning models, operationalizing AI solutions within IoT-driven environments. Experience working on wireless sensing, low-level hardware integration, and device drivers is highly preferred.
  • Product Ownership: Champion the creation of robust back-end services, APIs, and real-time data processing models to support privacy-first applications.
  • Collaboration: Partner with our Chief Scientist (a PhD inventor with multiple patents) to commercialize the product from the ground up.
  • Market Facing: Represent the company at conferences, share technical advancements publicly, and collaborate directly with customers.

This role involves developing revolutionary technology with widespread applications across school safety, asset management industries, and smart building solutions. The ideal candidate will resonate deeply with our mission to create transformative, privacy-first safety measures for children and families.

Cultural Fit & Compensation: We're searching for candidates intrinsically motivated by mission-driven work, who connect with our vision of creating safer environments. Individuals accustomed to small, agile teams and early-stage iterations will thrive here.
  • Compensation: $200,000 annually with 5% equity ownership.
  • Other Details: The role begins immediately. Candidates will sign an NDA prior to interviews due to the stealth nature of the company's operations.

Easy alignment for the right candidate

Ideal applicants will have a demonstrable record of wireless sensing experience, device utilization, and scalable edge systems development. You're technically versatile, market-facing, and committed to the long-term goals of a transformative technology offering.

This position may be remote, with occasional travel expectations for client engagements, conferences, and internal collaboration requirements.

Apply today to be a transformative leader in a space where your contributions directly prioritize school safety and privacy-first AI innovation!

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success as a founder or technical leader who has scaled technology products, taken them from concept to operationalization, and commercialized disruptive innovations.
  • Start-up experience in both hardware and software businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Background in Embedded Systems, Wireless Sensors, IoT device integration, and AI applications for real-time systems.
  • Machine Learning Engineers with proficiency in building scalable models, data scientist experience, and hands-on coding abilities.
  • PhD-level academic teaching experience is a plus, though not required, but must be complemented with practical product-driven engineering focus.
  • Not looking for Generative AI expertise; instead, emphasis on sensor-driven AI and Verticalized AI applications.
