Location: KS-Overland Park, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite

Overview: Every consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services the company offers to clients. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join the Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities:

Design and Construction Activities

Project Delivery Methods - Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid- Build

Facility Types - Water treatment, power generation buildings, and substations

Systems - HVAC and plumbing

Type of Areas - Wastewater treatment buildings, administrative, warehouse, maintenance, workshop, laboratory, chemical storage and handling, electrical distribution center, low and medium voltage switchgear, and pump areas

Studies

Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculations

Code Review/Application - Facility review for code compliance

Sustainable Design/LEED - Application of sustainable strategies

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years related work experience

Self-motivated, problem solving skills, written communication skills, driven for results, quality focused, strong listening skills. intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and design guides and standards related to HVAC and plumbing system design

Basic knowledge of the following:

International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes

ASHRAE Handbooks / Standards

ASPE design handbooks

SMACNA Standards

NFPA standards

Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling, and HVAC equipment sizing

Technical Submittal reviewing process and Bid reviewing process

Microsoft Office Suite

Bluebeam Revu

Revit 3D Modeling

Experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers is preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in home country or the country practicing in

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $135,000 or the hourly equivalent.
