The Virginia Department of Transportation's Information Technology Division (ITD) is seeking an experienced Legal Analyst to provide expert-level support in the development and interpretation of policies, legislation, and regulatory proposals, particularly related to IT procurement. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison to the Office of the Attorney General and offer strategic legal guidance during General Assembly sessions.
Responsibilities:-
Provide legal and technical guidance on IT procurement policies, legislation, and regulations.

Conduct in-depth analysis of procurement-related legislation and communicate implications to ITD leadership.

Act as ITD's primary liaison during General Assembly sessions; deliver legislative updates and impact analyses.

Coordinate legal briefings and manage debarment actions in collaboration with the Governance and Procurement Program Managers.

Serve as the point of contact for legal issues requiring coordination with the Office of the Attorney General.

Produce detailed reports based on legislative or financial analysis for operational decision-making.

Degree or training in Law, Paralegal Studies, Business/Public Management, or Public Policy.

Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certification.

Experience working with state or local government agencies.
