Description
We are looking for a dynamic Director of IT Applications to lead an application systems at our client's organization near Orange, Connecticut. This role involves aligning IT strategies with organizational priorities, driving innovation, and ensuring efficient and impactful delivery of application services across departments. The ideal candidate will excel in managing teams, overseeing complex programs, and maintaining a balance between daily operations and long-term strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of clinical and non-clinical application systems.
Collaborate with department leaders to ensure application projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and meet organizational objectives.
Develop and execute application strategies in alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
Lead and support strategic initiatives, including the introduction of new technologies and optimization of existing systems.
Provide guidance and mentorship to IS analysts and department staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
Act as a key advisor to organizational leaders, offering insights on application delivery, strategy, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the success of complex programs involving multiple users and stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate system performance, addressing issues and implementing enhancements as needed.
Partner with IS leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in application services.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application management, maintenance, and project leadership.
Experience in a hospital setting.
Expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and other healthcare-related applications.
Strong knowledge of application environments and technologies.
Proven ability to manage teams and lead people effectively.
Demonstrated success in overseeing complex projects and cross-functional programs.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities across departments and leadership teams.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
