Job Details

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop complex SQL supporting data warehouse downstream reporting and analytics
  • Analyze current business processes and systems, document requirements for new processes and systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers on business documentation and updates
  • Assist with user acceptance testing, including defect reporting and follow-up; help develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Develop presentations for internal teams or customers; solicit input and compile professional materials
  • Document updates needed for the Operations Guide
  • Analyze Medicaid enrollment, provider, and claims data; document requirements and use cases
  • Identify and document data anomalies; collaborate with cross-functional teams for resolution
  • Share use cases with data analysts for profiling; review results and assess compliance with Medicaid/CMS guidelines
  • Manage multiple priorities and remain available for questions and clarifications from data analysts
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed

Required Qualifications

  • Healthcare business analysis experience supporting initiatives through data analysis, requirements writing, and user acceptance testing
  • 2+ years of Unix/Linux Shell (Bash/Korn) scripting experience
  • Advanced ANSI SQL coding experience
  • Experience with healthcare claims and encounters
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive with minimal guidance
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Effective organizational, analytical, time management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to complete assignments under tight deadlines with little/no supervision
  • Bachelor s degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PERM, T-MSIS, CMS Federal Reporting (CMS-416, CMS-64, etc.)
  • Experience with Quality-of-Care Reporting (HEDIS, CMS Core Set, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Symmetry EBM Connect
  • Experience with Teradata DBMS
  • Knowledge of data integration, software enhancements/planning, and agile methodologies
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, SharePoint, MS Project, and Visio
