JOB DESCRIPTION

Skills/experience in:

  • Full lifecycle application development
  • Designing, coding, and debugging applications in various software languages.
  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
  • Support, maintain and document processes and software functionality
  • Integrate software with existing systems and data sources
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
  • Maintain standards compliance
  • Undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or a related discipline.

Request is for Platform Engineer with combination of technical skills and Lean Six Sigma skillsets (Greenbelt preferred, compensating experience and skills acceptable) to assume responsibility for below activities and work to automate and optimize these functions using Power BI / Power Automate or similar tools to maximize effectiveness and minimize manual oversight:

  • Vulnerability Management Process Optimization - We need a more effective way to ensure vulnerabilities are being tracked and integrated into squad work. The current process lacks visibility, and the vulnerability management team has not provided a reliable solution for tracking and reporting vulnerabilities tied to backlog items.
  • Disaster Recovery Issue Management Streamlining - Similar to the above, we lack visibility into which Disaster Recovery plan issues are included in planned backlog work. This limits our ability to report effectively to management.
  • SOP Renewal Process Improvement - There may be an opportunity to automate or streamline the SOP renewal process. A proactive system could flag SOPs due for renewal and guide application teams accordingly. This would reduce the manual effort currently required from Change Managers, who act as intermediaries between app teams and enterprise change managers.
  • End of Life Management - Automate end of life reporting long term. Short term, liaising with LOB IT leaders to update ServiceNow and Archer to ensure EOL software are appropriately planned and documented.
  • DR Liasson - Acting as Disaster Recovery partner to ensure documentation adequately represents plans, correcting defects with LOB partner help. Ensures all exercise plans are submitted on time, free of defect.

Recommended Skill Set: To address these areas, we believe a resource with Lean Six Sigma and Process Analyst experience would be ideal. Familiarity with Power BI or Power Automate would be a requirement, enabling greater independence and end-to-end execution.
