Job Title: F5 Engineer

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced F5 Engineer with expertise in Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and a strong background in migrating from NetScaler to F5. As an F5 Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting F5 load-balancing solutions and the migration process from NetScaler to F5. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of F5 solutions that meet the organization's performance and security requirements.

Responsibilities:

Migration process from NetScaler to F5, including assessing the existing Netscaler infrastructure, developing migration plans, and executing the migration with minimal downtime.

Collaborate with network architects and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable, high-availability F5 solutions that align with business objectives.

Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning of F5 solutions to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

Conduct regular audits and assessments of F5 configurations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend and implement best practices for security and compliance.

Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in F5 technologies and methodologies.

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in F5 load balancing, security, and network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Extensive experience as an F5 Engineer, with a focus on LTM and load-balancing technologies.

Proven track record of successfully executing migration projects from Netscaler to F5.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP, and other network protocols.

In-depth knowledge of F5 BIG-IP platforms, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) for F5 configuration management.

Familiarity with security concepts and practices, such as SSL/TLS encryption, firewall policies, and web application security.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Experience with F5 DNS/GTM.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Relevant certifications such as F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator
