VMware Administrator

Detailed Job Responsibilities
Windows:
- Server installation and configuration: One of the primary responsibilities is the installation and configuration of Windows servers. This includes setting up hardware and software, establishing and managing user accounts, and ensuring the servers are integrated with existing network systems
- Monitoring and maintenance: Windows Server Administrators implement and manage security protocols such as InsightVM, Splunk, Cortex
- Security management: Administrators are responsible for establishing and managing backup procedures and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters.
- Backup and recovery issues: When issues arise, whether they're software glitches, hardware malfunctions, or user errors, Administrators must troubleshoot and resolve these problems quickly to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Vulnerability management : Remediation Plan, Coordination with application owner to manage downtime and remediation.
- Shared Drive: Permission management, Folder Creation, Deletion, File transfer from one server to another server along with permission.
- Print Server: RightFax Print server only Managed.
- Windows OS Troubleshooting:
SCCM: Patching Windows Servers from SCCM, Patch Management, Deployment and Complaince
VMware vCenter: involved in the research, installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of vCenter, Esxi, HA, DRS, Datastore, vSwitch, Networking etc
Troubleshooting ESX issues related to storage, network and performance issues
Horizon VDI: VDI Horizon Administrator is responsible for the management and operation of the VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). This role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. Including UAG, Connection Servers, Enrollment Servers and Desktop Depoyment, Golden Image.
Active Directory: View and modify global policies and configuration settings except for administrator roles and permissions

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
