Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer who has a passion for people, preferring others and engaging in servant leadership. The role involves both strategic and hands-on tasks in developing and implementing IT security standards, best practices, architecture, and systems to ensure organization-wide information system security. The position entails a blend of leadership, collaboration, and technical expertise in the realm of IT security.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement IT security standards, best practices, and systems to ensure organization-wide information system security.

Contribute to long-term planning and vision implementation through the identification of strategic technology initiatives.

Collaborate closely with various departments, including IT, Engineering, Programming, and HR.

Oversee strategic planning and implementation for IT Security, focusing on department goals, timelines, budgets, communication, and results tracking.

Assess IT Security performance against both annual goals and plans, providing strategic recommendations based on operational analysis, research, and projections.

Provide leadership for the IT Security function and team, facilitating appropriate resolution of issues and competing priorities.

Direct and approve the design of security systems and lead the organization's software, systems, and data security strategy.

Assess the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery readiness and ensure appropriate plans are in place and tested.

Monitor and maintain the organization-wide security infrastructure and frameworks while analyzing, planning, and making recommendations for changes.

Maintain a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the industry.

Implement processes and methods for auditing and managing ethical hacking into the organization's network to discover and fix security loopholes.

Requirements

Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Cyber Security Engineering, preferably in a global enterprise or professional or financial services.

5+ years of experience in a leadership role.

Strong proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Checkpoint is required.

Demonstrated capabilities in Configuration Management and Computer Hardware.

Experience in Design and Eigrp is necessary.

Possess in-depth knowledge of Firewall Technologies and Cyber Threats.

Expertise in Advanced Threat Detection, Emerging Threats, and Real-Time Threat Protection is desirable.

Proven track record in managing Security Threats and conducting Threat Analysis.

Proficiency in Cyber Defense, Cyber Governance, and Cyber Intelligence is required.

Prior experience in Cyber Risk, Cyber Security, Cyber Security Engineering, and Cyber Security Policies is preferred.

Strong understanding of Cyber Security Standards, Cyber Security Strategy, and CyberArk.

Knowledge in Cybersecurity Compliance is essential.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications will be a plus.

Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job.
