Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure operations team. This role is focused on deploying and maintaining network hardware in a high-availability data center environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with break/fix support, structured cabling, and hands-on configuration of networking equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, install, and configure network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Perform break/fix troubleshooting and repairs on network and server hardware
Execute hardware upgrades, replacements, and decommissions
Maintain structured cabling standards and perform patching as needed
Collaborate with network engineering teams to support infrastructure rollouts
Document hardware inventory, configurations, and change activities
Respond to escalated tickets and provide root cause analysis for recurring issues
Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in data center operations or network infrastructure support
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Nvidia etc.)
Familiarity with structured cabling systems and labeling standards
Experience with Linux and Windows server environments
Proficiency with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Server+) are preferred

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $58.00/hr.
