Job Details

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Developer to address two key system issues following a recent upgrade from Enhancement Pack 5 to Enhancement Pack 8. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP system performance optimization, indexing, background job management, and integration troubleshooting particularly with Qlik as the Solution Management platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve performance issues related to background and dialogue jobs that have slowed since the SAP Enhancement Pack 8 upgrade.
  • Identify opportunities for indexing, process automation, or system configuration adjustments to improve overall performance and job execution time.
  • Troubleshoot and debug communication issues between SAP and Qlik (Solution Management software) to restore full integration and data flow.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to document root causes, resolutions, and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for ongoing system optimization and stability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with SAP Basis or SAP system performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of SAP job scheduling, indexing, and background processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Qlik or similar analytics/solution management platforms integrated with SAP.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving system interface issues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and business teams.
