The Opportunity: When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a knowledgeable test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a Test Engineer on our team, you'll work with developer and testers to evaluate software developed for the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). You'll work on creating a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automation to streamline activities, you'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of the system.
This is an opportunity to leverage your skills by writing the code to test. You'll also further your experience in large-scale systems and explore new areas like cloud computing.

You Have: - Experience testing software modules and software packages
- Knowledge of regression or functional testing
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with software development or testing, Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience with software development or testing, or 6+ years of experience with software development or testing in lieu of a degree
- Ability to obtain an IAT Level II Certification within 60 days of hire date
Nice If You Have: - Experience in Ranorex or other automated testing tools
- Knowledge of basic scripting, including in Python or JavaScript
- Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
