Network Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Columbus, OH)
Duration: 1 year
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support one of our largest infrastructure projects to date-the construction of a new hospital tower. This hybrid role involves hands-on network configuration and policy management, as well as close collaboration with project managers and medical center colleagues to ensure seamless integration and performance of network services.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and manage Network Address Translations (NATs) to support secure and efficient traffic flow.
Update and maintain firewall policies to ensure compliance with security standards and operational requirements.
Administer and optimize NSX policies for virtual networking environments.
Manage and update load-balancer groups to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
Perform switch port VLAN assignments and updates to support dynamic network segmentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, clinical staff, and IT colleagues to align network configurations with project goals.
Document network changes and maintain accurate records for auditing and troubleshooting purposes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in networking.
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, VLANs, and load balancing.
Experience with VMware NSX or similar virtual networking platforms.
Familiarity with hospital or healthcare IT environments is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Work Environment:
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Office located in Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
