Job Details

SRE Microsoft Dynamics 365 Engineers

Duration 12 months with extensions

Requires an in person interview

Location Must be local to Chicago or Peoria IL (open to candidates who will relo by day 1) hybrid model 1-3x per week in office on Wednesdays

Skill set requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (expert level)
  • Experience as a cloud engineer with Azure and Azure Devops
  • Experience with MS Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Strong understanding of ERP and CRM systems
  • Devops experience - automation and CI/CD scripting for infrastructure as code in Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD and
  • Experience with Terraform, Azure Functions, and scripting
  • Knowledge of enterprise message bus, service bus, and APIs
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support a new MS Dynamics 365 initiative (Accenture, based in India, and Cat Digital handle the main development work) that focuses on supply chain vertical integration and the next generation of how Caterpillar works with their dealerships.
  • Set up a mock dealership IT system using Azure MS Dynamics and MS Power Platform as the ERP and CRM for the dealer, simulating a real dealership environment.
  • Build and test scripts for custom development within Cat to create a new interface, including an enterprise message bus, service bus, APIs, etc., to communicate with dealerships.
  • Create Terraform templates and configuration scripts, Azure functions, and helper scripts to develop a playbook for dealers to transition to MS Dynamics.
  • Ensure everything is preconfigured and integrated into the Cat Helios platform backend for seamless use by dealers.

Provide ongoing support to Accenture, which is responsible for the MS Dynamics configuration and environment setup
