Job Details
Vaco is looking for a versatile Software Engineer to support finance-related service teams through the design, development, and deployment of modern software solutions. While the primary focus is on core engineering tasks across web applications and integrations, this role also supports systems and services running on Salesforce and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to pivot across technologies in an Agile environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fine-tune and enhance sophisticated software systems across new and legacy environments
- Support development and integration efforts involving Salesforce and AWS as needed
- Gather and analyze technical requirements, produce detailed specifications, and implement client-specific solutions
- Build, test, and maintain high-performance applications using modern technologies
- Conduct quality assurance, unit testing, and post-deployment validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful end-to-end project delivery
- 5–7 years of experience in software development
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and scalable software architecture
- Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and SQL
- Experience integrating with RESTful/SOAP APIs and building Microservices
- Exposure to Salesforce and AWS environments, with the ability to support platform-specific needs
- Comfortable working in Agile teams and adapting to evolving priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
