Job Description:
The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing computer-based solutions used by the client and advising Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, and fellow Business Analysts on enhancements or changes to meet business requirements.
Essential Functions
Develop detailed functional and system specifications based on business requirements, process maps, and use cases.
Collaborate with business teams to identify functional and performance expectations.
Validate that implemented functions perform according to specifications.
Ensure quality assurance across all releases.
Perform smoke testing in test and production environments.
Assist in preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Triage, track, and document defects.
Participate in prototyping solutions to provide business users with preliminary evaluations and UI experiences.
Assess the impact of changes on downstream systems.
Work with business teams to define minimum performance expectations and service levels.
Prioritize and track issues to resolution, escalating to project leads when necessary.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business users and IT teams.
Gather functional and system requirements through meetings with Business Analysts, business owners, and end users.
Manage multiple projects independently in alignment with organizational objectives.
Comply with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
Must-Have Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Experience with functional application testing.
Familiarity with web applications and UI design principles.
Strong understanding of SDLC and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Proficiency in SQL.
Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Visio, Word).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for problem-solving.
Good project management abilities.
Understanding of various web-based technologies.
