Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe Testers to join our remote QA team. As a Mainframe Tester, you will be responsible for validating and verifying mainframe applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and function correctly. This is a great opportunity to work with a global team on enterprise-level systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications for mainframe applications.
Design, develop, and execute test cases for mainframe systems (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS).
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure quality deliverables.
Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in mainframe testing.
Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
Familiarity with batch job testing and data validation.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to automation tools for mainframe testing (e.g., CA DevTest, IBM RFT).
ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
Work Schedule:
Flexible working hours with overlap during IST business hours.
40 hours per week (full-time contract).
