Job Description:
Title of Position: Senior IT Programmer/Analyst
Length of Assignment (Extension?): 3-6 month Contract to Hire
Location: On-site, Must be able to get to Everett WA - 2 days a week.
Is position approved: Yes
Shift: 1st shift (6am-2pm)

Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) is seeking a Senior Information Technology Programmer/Analyst to support multiple applications supporting the Manufacturing & Quality arena supporting the manufacturing software applications that are used in the Interiors Responsibility Centers. The team member Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications. Gathers and evaluates end user requirements. Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements. Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality. Addresses technical debt items and works through creating new solutions to replace older technology functionality. Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems. Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements.
Position Responsibilities:
This employee will perform the role of a Programmer/Analyst, working with design/build teams to support multiple applications. The development environments require strong Microsoft .Net, Microsoft VBA, and Microsoft SQL skills, as this candidate will be constructing/maintaining software in a Microsoft environment.
Other duties include unit and integration testing, software security compliance and remediation, and documenting procedures for maintaining the as-built system.
In an Agile development environment, use the Boeing standard Application Development & Sustaining (AD&S) methodology and SCRUM techniques:
- Develop software using object-oriented principles
- Experience with common design patterns
- Address technical debt items and create new solutions to replace older technology functionality.
- In collaboration with teammates, elicit and define business requirements.
- Interpret business requirements and write software to meet the business needs.
- Facilitate and/or actively participate in requirements reviews.
- Participate in defining Agile user stories and requirements; develop test cases/scripts, establish test data and perform unit tests, document implementation tasks and maintain/develop system documentation.
- Assist in developing integrated test plans, share test cases/scripts/results with team to drive First Time Quality (FTQ) delivery of product.
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes and/or application.
Coach and teach less experienced Programmer/Analysts as required.
