Senior Software QA Tester
Status: Contract- 12 months
Location: MUST LIVE IN RICHMOND, VA AREA- START HERE! NO RELOCATIONS AT THIS TIME

- Expertise in manual and automated testing (Client Server and Web Applications)
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps (especially Test Plans)
- Strong experience with backend API automation using Java (for test automation purposes, not application development)
- Proficiency in UiPath platform (Studio, Orchestrator, Robots)
- Strong skills in Oracle SQL and MongoDB
- Proficiency with Linux (navigation/log retrieval) and familiarity with WebLogic
Responsibilities
- Develop, set up, and execute manual and automated test scripts
- Perform end-to-end traceability from requirements through testing
- Manage defects and report on testing progress
- Analyze test results, log issues, and retest corrections
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers
- Assist UAT Leads with test strategies and tools
- Support upcoming mobile application testing initiatives
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Testing/QA
5+ years leading testing of large-scale n-tier systems
Strong knowledge of:
UiPath
Oracle SQL
MongoDB
Java Spring (architecture understanding, non-developer)
Linux and WebLogic
Azure DevOps services, especially Test Plans
Excellent communication and flexibility in dynamic environments
Nice to have: Test driven development (TDD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) CI/CD, mobile testing, energy sector experience, Confluent Cloud, Kafka, Cloud computing
